Q : What is SONbuddy?
SONbuddy is an intelligent software that turns any WiFi-enabled device into an
intelligent router. This will then allow devices to form an instant network without
the need of going through any infrastructure-based networks. Users in a SONbuddy
network can then communicate and collaborate with each other instantly and
securely using text and voice applications. Resources such as printer sharing
can also be instantly shared among all devices.

Q : What does the SON in SONbuddy mean?
SON is the acronym for Self Organizing Network. The formation of an instant network is formed and maintained automatically by SONbuddy. SONbuddy uses a revolutionary multi-hop routing technology that is self organizing, self healing, self discovering and self configuring. With SONbuddy, you can access the Internet, Intranet or other networks via other SONbuddy enabled devices even though your own devices cannot do it directly.

Q : How would I benefit from using this software?
SONbuddy brings you tons of benefits but here are just some reasons why you
should use it:

1) No Infrastructure
In places where connectivity to the infrastructure is unavailable but the desire to
communicate still exists, SONbuddy helps you connect with people around you.
Places like remote areas, construction sites, warehouses, streets, harbors, or any
other places which are not equipped with IT networking infrastructure.

2) Changing Environments
Changing environments means that although there is no change in your location,
the situation that surrounds you is changing. Obtaining information on the changes in the environment, SONbuddy can intelligently adapt itself to a new environment and use the network resources provided in this environment without requiring a manual change.

3) Mobility
During communication or usage of a system, users may be rapidly changing their
location. Each time a network node moves, the entire network topology will change.
SONbuddy can handle the complex changes implied by mobile nodes -such as
changes in network topology, bandwidth and network load.
