
"SONbuddy has detected license violations (more
than one licensed copy has been installed) so your software has been disabled.
Please note that the Unique SONbuddy Serial Number (USSN) provided to
you can only be installed on one device. Please restart SONbuddy to enter
a new USSN to correct the mistake."
Symptoms & Causes
You run SONbuddy from your device and after SONbuddy
finish configuring, you may receive this error message. After you click
OK, the SONbuddy application closes. This behavior can occur if more than
one licensed copy of SONbuddy has been installed in another computer using
the same license key.
Important: Please
do not attempt to install the same license key on a separate machine.
SONbuddy will automatically cease to function on both devices.
Solution: Reinstall
License (Gold/ Lite License)
1. Restart SONbuddy.
2. When prompted to input the product serial number, enter the 32 character
serial number provided to you together with the SONbuddy installation
package.
3. Click OK to reinstall license.
Note: If you are using
an evaluation license, you will not be able to reinstall license. In this
