
Symptoms & Causes
When you unplug the Green Packet USB dongle from your
device while running SONbuddy, you may get a blue screen, and then SONbuddy
will not be able to reconnect or will fail to detect the user after you
plug in the USB dongle again.
Solution
Step 1: Restart SONbuddy
1. Close the SONbuddy application.
2. Press Alt + Ctrl + Del and check the Task Manager to ensure that
the SONbuddy application is really closed.
3. Restart SONbuddy.
Step 2: Reinstall
SONbuddy driver
1. Go to SONbuddy root directory …/Program
Files/Green Packet/SONbuddy for Windows/
2. Run UninstallSONbuddy.exe application to uninstall SONbuddy driver.
3. Reboot the device after uninstalling.
4. Restart SONbuddy to install the driver with the wireless network
card plugged in during the installation of driver.
5. Run SONbuddy.
Step 3: Reboot device
1. Restart your machine.
2. Run SONbuddy again once Windows starts up.
* It is advisable not to unplug and replugthe USB dongle
while running SONbuddy.
